Crested River Cannabis Company was born in Morgan, Minnesota, in the heart of the Minnesota River Valley.

Our founder, Shawn Weber launched Crested River in 2019 with a simple premise: Minnesota deserves high-quality cannabis products made locally, not shipped in by corporations chasing market share

Today, we manufacture hemp-based wellness products including topicals, tinctures, edibles, and beverages both for our own brands and for other independent companies in Minnesota and across the country. We source as many ingredients, inputs, and services as possible from other Minnesota small businesses.

Crested River has been a driving force in shaping Minnesota’s cannabis framework, advocating for an anticorporate, small-business, equity-oriented marketplace. In 2025, ownership and management transitioned to Leili Fatehi, campaign manager of MN is Ready, the successful statewide coalition that legalized cannabis in Minnesota. The transition reflects an expansion of the same mission, as Shawn moves to lead Redwood County Weed Management, our sister adult-use cannabis company, continuing the work of building locally-owned cannabis infrastructure.

We are an activist business. We engage in policy and politics. We defend the local industry and consumer access. We fight for smart regulation that reflects real risk and not stigma. We stand for rural economic vitality. We continue to push for criminal justice reforms.
